Role and Facility Information
Northern Health Authority is seeking a Physiatrist to provide service at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia, in Prince George, BC. The selected candidate will join an exceptionally compatible and united group of physicians who are encouraged to explore their full practice potential in our University Hospital Medical School setting.
The hospital provides tertiary rehabilitation services in both highly developed inpatient and outpatient areas across the spectrum of rehab services including:
Stroke
Brain Injury
Amputee
Multi-trauma
Complex Orthopaedics
Psychiatry
Medical sub-specialty areas
Well informed interdisciplinary teams are functioning at a high level, and current with developments in
Stroke Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy
Occupational Therapy
Speech Language Pathology
Social Work
Recreation Therapy
Chronic Pain Clinic
Related Health services include:
UHNBC Northern Centre for Functional Rehabilitation
MS Clinic
Geriatric Assessment and Treatment Unit
Memory Disorders Clinic
Spiritual Health
Pre-admission clinics for elective surgeries
Post Physiotherapy Clinics for TKR
Outpatient Physiotherapy
Outpatient Occupational therapy services such as burn treatments and splinting
Outpatient Neuro Services.

Compensation Type Fee-for-Service Estimated Remuneration $350,000 ++
Benefits and Incentives
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 12.60% Retention Flat Fee $19,526 Relocation Funding Available $9,000-15,000 Recruitment Incentive $15,000 Other Benefits/Incentives $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada: $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.
