We have an opening for a Project Manager in K-12 Education. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.

About the K-12 Education at DLR Group

Our team of educators, researchers, anthropologists, planners, architects, engineers, building performance experts, and interior designers draw from evidence-based design to aid schools in bridging the gap from old and new to improve all facets of operations, and elevate learning through design. Understanding the rapid pace of technological, social, and cultural change, our K-12 Education Studio works with schools across the country to navigate this change to better serve communities and improve educational experiences and outcomes for students.

Position Summary

In this role you will lead and manage contract negotiations, as well as inform clients about our design procedures. Collaborating with project managers is essential to ensuring the financial well-being and effective completion of our projects, while also maintaining regular communication with clients throughout their project's duration.

What you will do:
  • Have an appreciation and passion for leading an integrated design team.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of coordination aspects related to requirements of all design disciplines.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong organizational skills.
  • Be a growth agent to the K-12 Sector in collaboration with other sector leaders including business development professionals.
  • Ensure all DLR Group practice standards are followed during the duration of the project.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and adhere to the project work plan and schedule.
  • Lead the contract negotiations and approve all contract changes.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and engage client for prompt payment.
  • Mentor team members and participate in hiring, training, and onboarding of new staff.
  • Participate in in-house training activities to further develop your skills and abilities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in a client facing role for multiple K-12 projects.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Client Leader.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
  • Licensed Architect
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
