We are seeking a results-driven Director, Product Management who can combine industry knowledge and expertise, technical skills, and management skills to lead a cross-functional team in designing and developing our core banking system integration platform, and delivering key features and enhancements for our portfolio of core banking system interfaces and adapters. In this role, you and your team are responsible for defining, communicating and delivering upon Alkami's core integration strategy. With cross-functional support technical product managers, development, customer success and sales, you will interact with customers, end users and internal stakeholders to develop a product roadmap and ensure alignment with the organization's business objectives, customer needs, and the broader strategic product and technology roadmap. The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management, experience with Agile methodologies, and a passion for delivering high-value solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Work closely with engineering teams to design, develop, and deliver integrations with core banking systems like Fiserv, Jack Henry, and FIS
  • Coordinate with third-party core providers to ensure seamless and compliant integrations
  • Proactively look at issues across the organization and facilitate change through cross-functional collaboration
  • Continuously refine and adjust priorities based on customer feedback, business needs, and technical feasibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, timelines and resource requirements for features and enhancements
  • Ensure the team adheres to Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Monitor sprint progress, maintain velocity metrics, and adjust priorities as needed to meet sprint goals and deliverables
  • Act as the voice of the customer, leveraging feedback, analytics, and insights to prioritize features that maximize customer value
  • Strategically plan team structure and staffing levels to meet current and future business needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities
  • Work with Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire and employ an appropriate number of employees.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer support, and other teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategies and user adoption
  • Present product updates, plans, and performance metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of product increments that meet quality standards and business objectives
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines or deliverables
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate release status updates effectively
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product development
  • Establish and communicate measurable performance goals for all direct reports, providing clarity on responsibilities, success metrics, and career development opportunities
  • Mentor and build a high-performing team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation
