Compensation Range:
$103,998.00 - $155,997.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Plays a crucial role in supporting the overall nursing leadership team by overseeing the implementation of evidence-based nursing practices, ensuring quality patient care delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the nursing department. Collaborate with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, and administration to develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards that align with regulatory requirements and best practices in healthcare. Through leadership and guidance, contribute to the enhancement of patient outcomes, staff development, and organizational excellence in healthcare delivery.

FT Position available

In collaboration with the Director of Nursing Practice of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Service and with considerable latitude for exercise of independent judgment organizes, implements, monitors, controls and evaluates the program of nursing practice within inpatient psychiatric units, MIPS, SUMMITS, ECT, TMS and CPEP within the Department of Psychiatry and in accordance with the general nursing practice philosophy and objectives. RN with master's degree in nursing, MBA or School of Public Health. Five or more years' experience in nursing leadership/management in an academic medical center or tertiary setting. Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in New York State. Preferred leadership certification. Acute care/ED experience preferred.
