This position works directly with individuals and their families enrolled in the Dane County Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) program to help people improve how they interact and function with others in their home, schools, and communities.
As a Skill Developer you will support community members in a person-centered, strength-based approach, providing the best care in meeting people where they are at and helping them gain the skills they need to achieve their goals. For some that includes improving their communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving, decision-making, self-regulation, conflict resolution, and other specific needs. Services also include support in enhancing their daily living skills related to personal care, household tasks, financial management, transportation, shopping, parenting, accessing and connecting to community resources and services (including health care services), and other specific daily living needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master Degree in social work, human services, or related field
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with individuals with mental health needs
Works well with other professionals and persons in a multidisciplinary team
Must have a valid Driver's License and insurance to travel regularly within Dane County to see clients
Must have a dependable and clean Vehicle
Clean Driving Record
Must be able to transport passengers if and when needed
Must be willing to be flexible in their schedule and work after-school hours during the school year
Benefits:
Exceptional Pay ranging from $40-$55 per hour
10 Paid Holidays
Accrued PTO
20 hours of CEU's paid annually
Access to gym facilities at the Middleton office location
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
No Weekends
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
