We are seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join our finance team based in Parsippany, NJ office.
Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting financial decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Manage general ledger activities and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with auditors during financial and tax audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Support cash flow management and financial planning initiatives.
Review and analyze expense reports, accounts payable/receivable, and ensure proper allocation.
Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Stay updated with accounting regulations, tax laws, and financial best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate finance environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Experience with financial audits and internal controls is a plus.
