Job Details: Thispremier 24-hour Emergency and Specialty practice, located in Rohnert Park, is looking for an Emergency Veterinarian. A sign-on Bonus up to $50k with a two-year+ commitment for doctors with 2+ years of experience!
The hospital started as an emergency practice and grew into a well-respected specialty and referral center, moving into their existing 18,000 sq ft facility 21 years ago. The former movie multiplex was completely remodelled to accommodate their large specialty practice with 15 exam rooms and 4 surgical suites.
Today, they are a team of 12 doctors and 67 support team members, including 20 licensed veterinary technicians that are passionate about providing compassionate and exceptional care.
Emergency medicine is the foundation of their hospital, collaborating with specialists to provide care to patients from all over Northern California. Their current specialties are cardiology, neurology, internal medicine, and on-call surgery. The spacious treatment room holds the state-of-the-art equipment needed to provide this excellent patient care; telemetry, ER ultrasound, multi-parameter monitoring equipment, full-size 12-lead ECG, 3 Snyder oxygen chambers, cold laser, a dedicated triage/code table and 4 additional wet tables. Besides the tools in the treatment room, specialists use MRI, CT, endoscopy, specialized ultrasound machines and flouroscopy to help support the emergency teams' care of their patients.
State-of-the-art equipment is essential, but useless without a good team. They strive for a cohesive, supportive, and collegial relationship with one another and their valued referring veterinarian partners. This emergency team is efficient and skilled. They are utilized to the fullest extent allowing their emergency doctors to focus on their primary responsibilities. They also have a fully staffed laboratory and pharmacy team that allows the medical team to focus on the patients and clients.
The Managers goal is to support the team so they can deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining a work-life balance. They endeavor to provide a professional and fun environment that allows the team to leave work feeling accomplished in caring for pets and their people. Appropriate candidates for this position should be friendly, compassionate, inquisitive, detailed, and enthusiastic about emergency medicine.
The hospital vision statement is "Committed to excellence and exemplary care of pets and their human companions". That is the central theme and fundamental belief of everyone who works here and permeates everything they do. It is expected that anyone applying for this position live by the same core belief.
