Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Interventional Radiology

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day; 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM - 6 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 40.00

Experience: Must have Interventional Radiology experience; experience in moderate sedation and strong IV start skills

License: RN License (NC or Multi-State)

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have: Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association

Job Description:

- Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation.
- Develops a plan prescribing strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
- Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.
- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Practices in a manner congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.

Physical requirements:

- The job involves walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift and support up to 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must speak English in clear, understandable terms.
- Requires intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch.
- Requires finger dexterity, critical thinking, and ability to concentrate.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.

Schedule Notes:

- Call Requirement: 1 night of weekday call every 2 weeks, 1 weekend call every 8 weeks

Education:

- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Languages needed: English (Speak, Read, Write)
