Role and Facility Information
Northern Health is seeking a Family Physician to join one other Family Physician in Hudson's Hope, British Columbia. Serve a patient population of approximately 1200 in a beautiful Diagnostic and Treatment Centre that provides a turn-key operation and no overhead.
The Health Centre, which has Doctor's office space and 2 exam rooms, offers a range of services including:
2 emergency room beds, which see an average of 800 ER visits per year
Dental clinic with services from a dental hygienist
Retail pharmacy
Laboratory
Support from a team of Health Care Professionals, including an onsite RN
Visiting physiotherapists, dietitians, chiropractors, and mental health practitioners
Hudson's Hope is located 85km from a state-of-the-art hospital in Fort St. John which includes specialists services, inpatient facilities and a 24-hour Emergency Department. A well-equipped and busy hospital with 24-hour Emergency Department is 65km away in Chetwynd.
There is an opportunity to provide additional services through outreach to surrounding First Nations communities to enhance your scope of practice and compensation.

Vacation Leave 4 - 6 weeks regular leave May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 30.0% Retention Flat Fee $52,884 Relocation Funding Available $9,000 - $15,000 (TBD) Recruitment Incentive $20,000 Other Benefits/Incentives Rural Education Action Plan (REAP) available. Rural Continuing Medical Education (RCME) available. Moving allowance available (no receipts required): $15,000 if moving from outside of Canada; $12,000 if moving within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if moving within BC. Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) funding is subject to change without notice.
