Job Description:
- Coordinate multiple research protocols and serve as a liaison with local investigators, clinical staff, and research personnel.
- Mature in understanding research operations and regulations to achieve a fundamental understanding of human subject research.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.
- Complete assigned training requirements by due dates.
- Accurately complete study medication order forms, ensuring physician or appropriate designee signs orders prior to medication administration.
- Perform routine operational activities for multiple research protocols.
- Collaborate with various site departments/teams, including finance and relevant administrative representatives.
- Coordinate protocol schedule of assessments from initial submission of feasibility through study closeout.
- Provide guidance on research protocols to appropriate staff, with interpretation of test results, observations, and related study data.
- Assess patients and document findings at each clinic visit while on protocol.
- Document all tasks required by the protocol, including medication forms, quality of life questionnaires, exams, vital signs sheets, times of lab draws, etc.
- Ensure medications are approved by an appropriate designee prior to initiating or changing medication regimens.
- Accurately calculate and document required conversions as per protocol.
- Document interactions regarding enrolled patients, including follow-up and survival.
- Schedule follow-up appointments, imaging, or related procedures as per protocol requirements.
- Complete all data requests, including queries, and submit with source documentation within specified timeframes.
- Generate and track drug shipments, device shipments, and supplies as needed.
- Track and report adverse events, serious adverse events, protocol waivers, deviations, and violations.
- Communicate protocol-related issues to appropriate study personnel or manager.
- Re-consent patients in a timely manner and document the process appropriately.
