Northern Health is seeking a Family Practitioner to join the primary care team in the beautiful Bulkley Valley, Smithers. The Family Practitioner will be taking on new patients and providing emergency room coverage.

Bulkley Valley District Hospital is a 24 bed acute care facility providing emergency/outpatient, medical, surgical, maternity and palliative care services, and has one psychiatric observation unit. The facility supports home and community care services, a strong community cancer clinic, and a diverse visiting specialist/surgeon program. It also offers laboratory and radiology (x-ray, mammography, ultrasound), and pediatrics services.

Compensation Type Fee-for-Service Estimated Remuneration $400,000 plus
Benefits and Incentives
Vacation Leave 6-8 weeks annually, including CME May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 20.02% Retention Flat Fee $30,382 Relocation Funding Available $9,000-15,000 Recruitment Incentive $20,000 Other Benefits/Incentives Relocation: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada: $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.
