The Workday Project Manager - Compliance & Governance is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the HRIS platform (Workday). This role requires a combination of project management expertise, technical HRIS knowledge, and collaboration with HR and IT teams to ensure seamless system integration, efficient processes, compliance with organizational policies, and adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Assist with leading and managing HRIS implementations, updates, and optimization projects.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within budget.
Compliance & Security
- HRIS Compliance Duties:
- Assist Compliance Manager to ensure the HRIS complies with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and other data protection laws.
- Regularly audit system processes data to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for compliance reporting and audits.
- Partner with legal, HR, and IT teams to address compliance gaps and implement corrective measures.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws, data protection regulations, and HR technology standards, updating policies and processes as needed.
- Maintain data integrity, security, and confidentiality in the system.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with HR, IT, and other departments to gather system requirements and align solutions with business needs.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
System Implementation & Maintenance
- Oversee system configuration, data migration, testing, and user acceptance phases.
- Ensure system functionality meets organizational requirements and industry best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party consultants as needed.
Process Optimization
- Analyze and streamline processes to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements to support HRIS goals and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
- 3+ years experience in HRIS management, project management, or similar roles.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with data analysis, reporting tools, and integration frameworks.
Project Management Skills:
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Other Requirements:
- Experience with compliance management, auditing, and regulatory reporting.
- Experience with change management and training initiatives.
