The Registered Nurse Principal (RNP) position exists to serve as the nurse education consultant for the purpose of clinical direction around client care and best clinical nursing practices. The RNP is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals. This role aims to enhance clinical skills, improve client care outcomes, and promote evidence-based practice through comprehensive teaching and training initiatives. The RNP collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assess learning needs, design curricula, and provide mentorship and guidance to support professional growth and competency in the healthcare setting. Through continuous education, the RNP contributes to the overall advancement of healthcare practices and the delivery of high-quality client care. This position requires travel to facilities on a set schedule and as needed.
CARE Anoka and CARE Carlton (Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise) are substance use disorder treatment facilities that provides treatment for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders who are civilly committed for treatment. This is a facility that specializes in providing services to individuals with co-occurring disorders, including those who may have high medical needs.
Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Rochester is a 16-bed inpatient psychiatric facilities for adults experiencing a serious mental health episode. The length of stay and treatment focuses on stabilization, patient education, and discharge planning involving community support resources, with the overall goal of preventing future episodes.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Registered Nurse License in the State of Minnesota
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Three years of psychiatric nursing experience
- Advanced knowledge and ability to provide education to adult learners
- Demonstrate good leadership skills necessary in critical thinking, independent judgment, initiative, and autonomy
- Advanced skills and abilities in assessment and implementation of nursing actions to effectively teach others
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with relevant accreditation and survey processes; understand standards and state and federal rules and regulations as applicable to healthcare service delivery organizations.
- Master's Degree in Nursing Education, Education, Nursing, or other related field.
