Summary:
The Program Director of Clinical Operations - Physician Corporations provides guidance and direction for current and prospective clinical services across the physician service corporations, including potential clinical enhancements and workflow efficiencies; assesses clinical services for complexity of care tasks and provides guidance related to appropriate role assignment to ensure a consistent and high level of quality care; develops/revises policies, clinical practice guidelines and quick reference guides for clinical services within the physician organizations; consults and serves as liaison for clinical documentation enhancements with EPIC build team; guides the development of patient education programs and materials for physician corporation practices; assists in development of new clinical services offered within physician corporation practices.
Responsibilities:
* Evaluates practices through focused sessions with and observations of clinical staff to determine workflow processes, allocation of duties and opportunities for enhanced efficiencies and enhanced quality.
* Evaluates proposed new clinical services in existing practices to assist in determining appropriate roles, policy/procedure requirements; collaborate with clinical education to identify appropriate training requirements and competency validation elements for new services
* Consults with clients and partners to gain understanding of current clinical practice workflows and recommends improvements to clinical/operational workflows that have an impact on patient care, balancing efficiencies with quality; assists in developing solutions for patient care related issues; uses critical thinking to create appropriate policies/procedures and/or guidelines for new processes
* Identifies opportunities for clinical enhancements of EMR system to improve workflows and efficiencies for clinicians; serves as liaison with EMR build teams to realize completion of enhancements
* Participates in clinical staff role recruitment process and provides input on candidate selection
* Provides guidance and expertise in development of patient education programs and materials specific to the appropriate clinical specialty
* Assists in the development of clinical training and onboarding program for clinical staff, in collaboration with clinical educators
How You'll Be Successful:
WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 8 years Direct patient care experience as an RN in a variety of patient care settings required.
* At least 2 years Direct patient care in a pediatric healthcare setting required.
* At least 2 years Ambulatory practice; direct patient care and/or management experience preferred.
EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Texas RN license Upon Hire required.
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements required.
* PACES 180 Days required.
