GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for shaping and implementing our employee experience strategy, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee all activities of the Human Resources Department for all McCoy-Rockford locations including: recruiting, compensation, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management and regulatory compliance
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives
  • Oversee performance management, talent acquisition, and workforce planning efforts
  • Coach and guide managers, supervisors and employees on HR and employee relations matters
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational development and change management efforts
  • Actively recruit new candidates for open positions, schedule and conduct interviews, assess skills and experience of applicants, and work with managers to make employment decisions and determine appropriate compensation
  • Conduct training for People Leaders as well as all employees on various HR topics including policies, benefits and leadership skills
  • Coordinate and implement various benefits and wellness programs and initiatives
  • Collect and analyze data in the local markets in order to make recommendations to executive leadership regarding compensation structure
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the HR team to ensure effective delivery of HR services

KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS

WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • 8+ years' experience as a HR Generalist/Specialist with increasing responsibility
  • 5+ years' proven experience as a senior HR leader, preferably in a VP or similar role.


EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • PHR or SHRM-CP designation strongly preferred
  • Working experience with ADP/Workforce Now
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.

  • Ability to motivate people and manage processes
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally
