Position Overview:

UWNYC's Education Equity strategy consists of a multi-dimensional approach to ensuring that all young people graduate New York City (NYC) high schools in four years prepared for workforce and/or college pathways for fixed term. The four key dimensions include: literacy development, curriculum and teaching, parent engagement, and wraparound services. The Senior Manager, Video Production (fixed-term) will be responsible for the creation of video media that elevates public awareness and understanding of the need for a Latine Studies Curriculum in NYC schools. When successful, the Senior Manager, Video Production (fixed-term) will have ensured that there is broad awareness of the importance of this project as well as increased public enthusiasm for the project.

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Management & Timeline Execution
  • Build a comprehensive project timeline to ensure timely completion of the video between 2/15/25 and 5/15/25.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, production teams, and external collaborators to maintain workflow efficiency and meet deadlines.

Content Development & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Schedule and conduct interviews with key stakeholders, participants, or experts for inclusion in the video.
  • Develop a script outline for the video, incorporating input from the program team and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cycles of feedback from the program team to refine and improve video content.

Multi-Format Video Production
  • Develop multiple video products from the main video, such as shorter clips or teasers, to maximize impact.
  • Prepare and format media content specifically for social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with platform requirements and audience engagement strategies


Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in video production, including scripting, interviewing, and editing.
  • Ability to conduct interviews and synthesize key insights into compelling narratives.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Understanding of social media content strategies and formatting for platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and creative teams.
  • Knowledge of storytelling techniques and audience engagement best practices.

Salary Range:
  • The salary range for this position is 72,435.00 to 100,707.00, based on an annualized salary
  • The final determination of salary, within this range, will depend on the candidate's education, skills and experience required.


Additional Requirements:
  • Successful completion of background check.
  • UWNYC is presently on a Hybrid/In-Person work schedule.
  • This is anticipated to be a fixed term position from February 2025 - June 2025.
