Job Description

The purpose of this position is to perform the role of a lead engineering technician on a large, highly complex task force. This requires comprehensive knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines. This position has the responsibility of supervising the tasks and development of lower level technicians and aides.
Perform diverse and complex engineering assignments including, but not limited to space planning, mobilizations, action items, producing data sheets, and drafting engineering specifications and standards
Interface with other discipline technicians to provide complete engineering support
Develop procedure to track status on engineering progress
Generate and process forms for the distribution of electronic engineering documents
Establish and apply documentation standards for Flow Diagram Change Notices (FDCN) workflow procedures
Develop logs to track project deviations
Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent required
Proficient in use of Fluor specialized software programs
Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Superior organizational skills, judgment, flexibility
Excellent leadership skills
Strong supervisory skills
Demonstrated proficiency on company standard personal computer equipment and software with the ability to train others

Other Job Requirements
Serve as a Company representative to external clients
Participate in Fluor University for training and career development
Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities
Provide feedback on personnel performance and development
Participate and facilitate department/project meetings and training
