Job description
1.0 SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
Support Safran Power Units customers and worldwide members with technical advice and solutions. Develop and manages strategic partnerships with Americas OEM's, US Military and US government agencies and officials.
2.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Advises executive management and other members of the Safran Power Units team on product issues in support of customer operations.
Responds to customer and shop personnel requests for technical support in order to maintain product integrity.
Prepares reports required to support customer and company operations.
Conducts Engineering Investigations in support of customer requirements.
Understands how to manage and prepare responses to both external and internal Customers requests while taking into account the constraints of the company.
Coordinates with Safran Power Units Toulouse engineering and support staff to ensure accurate and timely response to customer inquiries and issues.
Coordinates with customer engineering staff to ensure timely responses to technical issues.
Coordinates all quality issues to ensure satisfactory resolution.
Coordinates with Safran Power Units staff to ensure technical accuracy of operations and support of customer technical issues.
Coordinates with Safran Power Units teams and customer program management (RR & USN) for RCM and AGE studies
Develops and coordinates approval for repair schemes applicable to MRO (maintenance repair overhaul) equipment and overseeing MRB activity.
Visits customer sites, hosts customer visits, and attends meetings as necessary to promote positive customer relationships.
Builds strategic business relationships and supports the strategic planning process.
Conducts contract negotiations.
Identify and secure growth opportunities for Safran Power Units products in the Americas territory.
Travel required - 20%, including internationally.
3.0 SCOPE AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develops procedures, identifies technical issues, and recommends solutions to fulfill customer objectives; recommends expenditures.
Participate in continuous monitoring of internal controls where necessary and ensure compliance.
Manage "Incident" & "Non Incident" Investigation processes: work scoping, progress validation, findings review, root cause identification, report(s) issuance, initiating action plan for root cause elimination - coordinate with Safran Power Units Design Office as need be,
Manage Operator Technical Assistance process: troubleshooting in the aim of allowing safe continued operation of Engine or Equipment & preventing unnecessary removals,
Manage In-Service product Reliability Study & participate in Product Improvement processes: assist with data collection, perform analysis, generate conclusions, provide in-service highlights reports, initiate Design Change requests,

4.0 REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Education/Knowledge/Skills and Abilities
At least 7 years of related experience and Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering,
Intermediate Level - Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI+
Advanced level - Excel (use of data analysis functions and pivot tables),
Knowledge of turboshaft engines design and parts manufacturing / repairing (machining, forging, heat and surface treatments),
Knowledge of professional practices, sources of information, and applicable rules and regulations (FAA, EASA, ITAR, etc.).
5.0 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
