Position Summary
Reporting to the AVP of Strategic Sourcing and Contracting, the Market Clinical Resource Director is responsible for establishing and leading the supply expense agenda for the Clinical Resource Management program across multiple hospitals. The Market Clinical Resource Director is responsible for driving positive change through program definition and leading initiatives that support the health care organization's Supply Chain and Resource Management agenda. The position is responsible for reviewing and optimizing the group purchasing organization's contract portfolio and developing and executing product standardization for the entire market. The Market Clinical Resource Director has a broad enterprise and segment influence and will need to build strategic alliances with Supply Chain, Hospital ExecutiveLeadership at the Corporate, Market, and Facility level, clinicians and physicians to execute successfully the Supply Chain Operations plan. The position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as independent action, and initiative.
Essential Functions
Manages a team of Clinical Resource Managers across the organization
Develops and implements market-based strategies and processes to reduce supply expense
Identifies, implements, and executes market supply expense margin and clinical improvements with a primary focus on high cost of good departments to include surgical services, Cath Lab, EP lab and Special Procedures.
Identifies market and facility supply expense variances; develops, executes and monitors action plans to mitigate increases in supply expense; and participates in market and facility monthly operating reports and supply expense planning.
Participates, and may develop content and facilitate, New Technology and Product committees such as facility based, market based, service line or physician led meetings.
Develops content and facilities all activities related to designated New Technology and Product committees to review products and technology for clinical evidence and benefit; discuss financial considerations to include contract compliance,
cost and reimbursement; review and execute on opportunities to standardize products and reduce waste; and to maintain or increase product quality and patient outcomes.
Builds relationships and increases customer satisfaction with hospital leadership, chief medical officers, clinical directors, physicians and supply chain leadership.
Interacts with market supply chain, market and facility leadership, and physicians to identify improvement opportunities; develops and implements continuous quality improvement processes regarding supply and labor practices; and recommends cost reductions.
Identifies, develops, implements, monitors and verifies market-based product standardization, contract compliance, product utilization, cost data, process improvements and waste.
Ensures communication and education regarding product and procedure changes occurs in all affected departments, to include physicians and medical management personnel.
Supports the market supply expense management program, and the leadership, development and execution of initiatives for the clinical resource managers.
Identifies and communicates alternative products during product recalls or backorders.
Supports the market during man-made or natural disasters.
Interacts and develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their customer needs and challenges. Creates external and internal customer confidence, sets achievable customer expectations and demonstrates responsibility for solving customer challenges by soliciting opinions and ideas from customers to improve products and
services.
Demonstrates market project management skills by determining action steps and milestones required for each project and works directly with key stakeholders to implement a specific business initiative
Provides effective communication, which includes verbal and good listening, writing, and presentation skills, to a variety of stakeholders from executives to staff; demonstrates effective problem solving and time management skills; and demonstrates knowledge and expertise by servicing as a facilitator, technical advisor, subject matter expert and analyst to
key stakeholders and team members.
Leads the Health System Supplier Management program
Lead and Manage team of clinical resource managers
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other
federal, state, and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
Must have the ability and willingness to travel within the assigned within market. Expected to visit each market facility with regular cadence.

Qualifications
Education/Training
- Bachelor's degree in business, Health Administration, Nursing, Pharmacy or other Allied Health Profession required with related experiences in healthcare value analysis, clinical supply chain, or acute care hospital performance.
- Master's degree, highly preferred.
- Product and Device Knowledge
Experience
- Clinical operational hospital or healthcare related experience, minimum of 3-5 years.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required.
- Significant proven/successful leadership experience (CNO, ACNO, Director, etc.), preferred.
- Multi-facility (Integrated Delivery Network, IDN) experience, preferred.
- Supply Chain experience from a clinical perspective, preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years hospital management experience.
- Multi-facility experience
Licensure/Certification
- Clinical Licensure or Certification Strongly preferred but not required
