Responsibilities

BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

You lead, maintain and enhance critical telecommunications systems across Spectrum Enterprise. You possess an in-depth knowledge of technical and design skills that you use to improve Design teams and advise team leaders. You collaborate with multiple cross-functional technical teams in person and digitally in an office environment.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
  • Design, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems in an assigned area.
  • Improve logic difficulties and documentation through a detailed analysis and revision of existing programs.
  • Maintain system design standards through rigorous testing and review.
  • Ensure that all technical integration, changes, standards and documentation is accurate through technical support.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams and test and review work plans and system design.
  • Mitigate risks by adhering to industry-specific local, state and federal regulations.


Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM ENTERPRISE

Required qualifications
  • Experience: Ten or more years of engineering and project management experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Technical skills: Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, fiber, multi-mode, single-mode, UTP cable, bridging, switching, routing, Ethernet and transport technologies and protocols; Understanding of network design, network architecture, protocols, network topology, TCP/IP and the OSI model; Familiar with ticketing and software tools, network devices and network appliances; Proficient in network designing software and Microsoft Office.
  • Skills: English communication skills.
  • Abilities: Able to perform duties in a very fast-paced environment and learn new technology quickly.


Preferred qualifications
  • Knowledge of company products and services.
  • Advanced knowledge of Spectrum Managed Services products.
  • Experience with video, data, and voice products.
  • Experience with provisioning and troubleshooting outages.
