Our P&C and healthcare insurance benefit products are within verticals where we have deep relationships and endorsements from multiple trade groups and associations. Our ideal prospects and clients are mid-to-upper-middle-market and National account-level businesses. This business development role will have significant interaction with brokers and client C-suites/ownership and must be able to articulate complex concepts to ensure interpretation of self-insurance is treated adequately and appropriate insurance products are presented to the client.
Role Priorities and Responsibilities
Organic growth in Beyond Health and BevCap medical stop-loss captive programs. Sales priorities consist of membership (i.e., employer-sponsored health plans) growth, customer service/relationships, revenue growth through new business development, and high retention.
The Healthcare Captive Sales Executive will drive new business by leveraging existing broker and consultant relationships and identifying and building new relationships with key distribution partners and clients for Beyond Health medical stop-loss captive programs/products. You will contribute by using your sales and market expertise to help shape our product distribution expansion strategies across the United States.
This is a hybrid position in Mckinney Texas.

Key Role Functions
- Identify and meet in person and/or virtually with prospective employee benefits brokers/distribution partners to help expand our Beyond Health and BevCap captive program footprint.
- Generate and manage a strong pipeline of accounts and new distribution opportunities with the goal of meeting or exceeding an annual new business premium and profitability goals.
- Guide broker and prospect through sales process to buyer commitment and participate (with Account Service team) in on-boarding. Client renewal advocacy and activities are expected.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Underwriting to execute sales strategy within the territory.
- Deliver excellent customer service to brokers and/or clientele in line with our brand promise.
- Be a key contributor to the development and execution of our national strategic growth initiatives.
- Responsible for professional-looking documentation, including board books, proposals, and submissions.
- Track, report, and communicate to internal groups the outcome of the negotiations/proposals i.e., clear details, critical time frames, and expectations through the use of CRM (Salesforce/Salesloft)
- Actively participate in workshops and relationship-building through interactions, structured activities, etc.
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications
- Knowledge of self-funded health plans, captive programs, and employee benefits. Strong experience supporting the development of proposals to brokers/clients.
- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in the Accident & Health, Stop Loss insurance industry, but open for the right candidate.
- Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding annual new business goals.
- Strong relationship management skills, along with understanding the needs of our customers and their broker/consultants.
- Excellent organizational skills, integrity, and follow-through on tasks; comfortable challenging norms while collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Education of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience
