Description:
Seeking an enthusiastic Structural Supervising Engineer with experience supporting Power
Generation and Heaving Industrial Projects in the Charlotte, NC offices.
Responsibilities include managing structural project activities from conception to construction including
supporting structural site work. The successful applicant can look forward to projects including simple and
combined cycle powerplants, nuclear projects, and plant retrofits throughout the United States that
require all facets of structural engineering and design.
Responsibilities
a. Functioning as the structural discipline lead on a project.
b. As the structural engineer of record for assigned projects, using your professional engineering
license to sign and seal structural drawings developed under your supervision.
c. Power plant and heavy industrial facility design.
d. Ability to coordinate interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete project tasks on
schedule and on budget.
e. Reviewing relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support
project development.
f. Performing structural calculations, developing engineering reports, studies, specifications, and
design drawings.
g. Ability to develop material and workhour estimates as well as engineering and design schedules
Job Requirements
Minimum Security Clearance:
Bondable
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering from a four-year accredited
college or university.
? Experience
a. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and design.
b. Minimum 3 years in an engineering leadership position
? Experience with industry standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, MathCad, etc..
? The successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be capable
of collaborating with the multi-discipline engineers and designers
? Professional Engineering (PE) license in US
Preferred Requirements
? M.S. in Civil (Structural) Engineering
? Experience in seismic analysis and design of structures, systems, and components for nuclear
power plants.
