A high-net-worth family is seeking an experienced and tenured Estate Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and operations of multiple properties, including rental properties.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in estate management and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and an extensive vendor network.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Property Maintenance & Operations:
Oversee the upkeep of the residences, including landscaping, pool and water features, smart home technology, and overall home security.
Maintain household inventories, including wine cellars, and ensure all areas are kept to the highest standards.
Event Coordination:
Plan, coordinate, and provide oversight for large social engagements and special events at the properties.
Art & Antiques Management:
Oversee the management of art and antique collections, liaising with curators to ensure proper care and display.
Staff Management:
Hire, train, and supervise household staff, ensuring efficient and professional service.
Vendor & Contractor Oversight:
Act as the primary point of contact for all contractors, vendors, and deliveries.
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality work and cost-effectiveness.
Project Management:
Oversee large-scale renovations and estate projects, from design through construction, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Administrative Duties:
Create and maintain property-specific procedure and operating manuals.
Manage vehicle maintenance, registration, and insurance updates.
Rental Property Management:
Oversee operations, maintenance, and tenant relations for rental properties.
Animal Care:
Coordinate and manage the care of family animals, ensuring their well-being.
Qualifications
Significant experience (minimum of 5-7 years) in estate management with a demonstrated history of longevity in past roles.
Exceptional knowledge of property maintenance, vendor negotiation, and household systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple properties and projects simultaneously.
Rolodex of reliable, high-quality vendors and contractors.
Knowledge of smart home systems, security protocols, and luxury amenities.
Proficient in managing budgets, contracts, and staff.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to act as a liaison between the family and all external parties.
Flexibility and willingness to handle additional tasks as needed.
