A respected veterinary practice is looking for a Lead Veterinarian to join its team and serve as the medical leader, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. The Lead Veterinarian will play a key role in ensuring high-quality care is provided to patients while also supporting the overall success and smooth operations of the practice.

This position is open to veterinarians with established leadership experience, as well as those interested in pursuing leadership opportunities in the future. The practice is committed to mentorship and the development of the next generation of veterinary leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the clinical team and practice leadership to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager to assist with staffing and scheduling needs
  • Foster strong relationships within the practice and the local community
  • Encourage the growth and development of support staff through the practice's internal LevelUp training program
  • Manage a diverse caseload, including surgeries, wellness exams, and emergency cases
  • Oversee the medical care of all patients, ensuring high-quality treatment
  • Serve as the veterinarian of record for all required hospital permits and licenses
  • Partner with hospital leadership to maintain and improve medical care standards


Qualifications:
  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
  • Active license in good standing to practice in the state where the candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
