Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain and Business Excellence, the Senior Director, IT will ensure that the company's business applications and IT processes are aligned with business strategy and achieving company objectives. This hands-on leader will strive to understand business needs and effectively align technology vision, using IT to create and maintain a safe and compliant business operation.

This hands-on leader will strive to understand business needs and effectively align technology vision, using IT to create and maintain a safe and compliant business operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and effective operation and use of IT systems and applications, ERP (Microsoft D365)
- Develop comprehensive IT strategy to enable long term company goals
- Partner with cross-functional leadership on system conversion selections, implementations, and integrations, and ERP optimization
- Lead all phases of IT due diligence and integration in pre- and post-acquisition events
- Partner with vendors to ensure applications and services are delivered cost effectively
- Create and control the budget for IT spend, delivering results on time and within budget
- Engage with business leaders to encourage use of IT to achieve top line and bottom-line financial growth
- Ensure consistent and effective use of technology in operations and activities
- Understand the unique challenges of the business to identify opportunities for the use of software and IT technology
- Provide leadership and supervision to the IT team
- Recruit, hire and maintain a team of qualified and productive professionals
- Perform complete lifecycle management for both custom and off the shelf applications
- Maintain awareness of and onboard new technologies and applications that add value to the business
- Create a structure of an innovative technology team - with hands-on managing and mentoring
- Create and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- 20 - 30 % travel is required for this role
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 10+ years information technology experience (Business Application experience a plus)
- 5+ years supervising technical staff
- Experience with system implementations, conversions & integrations (ERP/D365, Financial, CRM)
- Strong change management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
- People development and leadership
- Creative application of IT
- Experience balancing resources, priorities, budget and timelines
- Business process mapping and data analysis
- Experience with Microsoft office products, D365, SharePoint, Power BI
Education and Training Requirements
- 4 year degree in Information Technology or related field
- Master's degree preferred
