SUMMARY

We are seeking an Electron Beam welding engineer to join our team in Brea, CA.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-speed welding processes and be able to apply their knowledge to various projects.

Main Responsibilities:
Design and implement efficient electron beam welding processes for high-volume production.

Proven hands-on experience in Electron Beam Welding of cryogenic, ultra-high vacuum or pressure equipment.
Develop and maintain detailed blueprints and operating procedures for complex projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and fabricate custom components.
Lead fabrication projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in high-velocity electron beam processing and apply this knowledge to improve processes and outcomes.

Understanding of Technical components
  • Knowledge and application of joining techniques: welding: in particular in depth knowledge of welding joining technologies with an extensive practical experience in electron beam welding.
  • Knowledge of metals and alloys: in-depth knowledge of material sciences, materials selection and characterization.
  • Knowledge and application of materials, surface and thermal treatments for UHV: good understanding of the material behavior under UHV.
  • Manufacturing of mechanical parts: hands-on ability and knowledge in high-precision mechanical engineering.
  • Production of 2D drawings and 3D models: ability to read/interpret technical drawings and ISO tolerancing (dimensional and geometrical product specification standards), ability to design tooling and draft technical drawings.


Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, machine shop, or aviation environments.
