Job Summary:
The GDI/Ainsworth family is seeking an experienced and operationally savvy leader to oversee a Regional Portfolio of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services for a premier client in the Automotive Engineering and Manufacturing sector. This leadership role involves managing both Hard (Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical) and Soft (Janitorial, Landscaping, Moves/Adds/Changes) Facilities Services, ensuring seamless operations, compliance, and continuous improvement. Reporting to Regional Leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for contract compliance, financial performance, and strategic service delivery, while fostering strong client relationships and employee engagement. This role requires an expert problem-solver who can manage complex challenges, drive business growth, and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives while promoting the GDI/Ainsworth brand within industry associations.

Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Oversee and coordinate all IFM activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery and exceeding client expectations.
- Interface with customers to ensure contract compliance and performance specifications (qualitative cost savings and service excellence).
- Lead and participate in performance reviews (e.g., Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews) with clients.
- Ensure seamless facility, property, and project management operations across the portfolio.
- Evaluate current processes and service models, identifying gaps and developing service delivery recommendations.
- Facilitate, lead, and support new business mobilization and transition activities.
- Actively collaborate with business development teams in RFP responses, cost analysis, and internal approval processes.
- Investigate opportunities to expand service offerings and create additional value for the client.
Financial & Business Strategy
- Develop and manage operating and capital expense budgets for assigned portfolios.
- Conduct financial analysis and identify value-creation opportunities (efficiencies, cost savings).
- Achieve financial targets and develop compelling business growth strategies.
- Support enterprise-wide business initiatives by establishing connections with key business leaders.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations (AHJ, GDI/Ainsworth, client requirements).
- Co-lead and be accountable for portfolio-wide event/incident investigations (e.g., RCCA) and action plan closures.
- Maintain and complete all regulatory documentation for IFS&M and client requirements.
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all HES standards.
- Participate in collective bargaining processes, collaborating with HR and IFS&M leadership on labor relations.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead a diverse team of professionals, technicians, and third-party service providers, fostering strong engagement and development.
- Ensure an inclusive and high-performance work environment, supporting employee retention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, HR, Payroll, Legal, and IT to drive operational success.
- Establish strong networks within industry organizations (e.g., BOMA, IFMA) to enhance the GDI/Ainsworth brand.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of direct IFM leadership (General Manager or similar leadership position) or a bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or management with 5+ years of operational leadership experience.
- Formal Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) leadership experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in incident investigations and risk mitigation.
- Experience with CMMS, Smartsheet, MS Office Suite, MS Project, Power BI, CRM applications, and related software.
- Fluency in English is required, and bilingual proficiency (Spanish/French) is an asset.
