What You'll Be Doing
OHR is seeking driven, enthusiastic, customer-centric, and self-motivated Human Resources Specialists (Recruiters) to join OHR's Recruitment and Selection Team. This team is dedicated to advancing the mission of Montgomery County by facilitating an equitable recruitment and screening process resulting in a diverse and inclusive workforce. Recruiters work in partnership with County leaders to actively seek out and court candidates, develop candidate pipelines and improve the recruitment and selection process for both candidates and hiring managers.

What You'll Be Doing

Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Partnering with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and devise winning recruitment strategies.
- Managing the full life cycle recruitment process for positions in assigned business units.
- Developing and executing innovative recruiting and sourcing strategies, including the usage of social media, web searches, referrals, and industry-specific sources, to ensure a pipeline of highly qualified talent.
- Proactively developing pipelines of qualified candidates, in advance of need.
- Guiding candidates and hiring managers through the interview process keeping everyone informed.
- Regularly updating hiring managers and others regarding the status of onboarding activities.
- Developing, delivering, and supporting training for relevant staffing activities.
- Creating and maintaining best practices for recruitment and diverse talent sourcing.
- Reviewing salary requirements and negotiates salary offers with applicants.
- Facilitating the delivery of an exceptional customer and applicant experience.
- Providing guidance and advice on recruitment policies, best practices, and the development and use of valid selection criteria.
To perform the job successfully, candidates should have:
- A knack for clear communication and a "can-do" attitude when it comes to finding talent.
- Experience working in a highly collaborative culture to deliver a high-quality talent sourcing program.
- Experience utilizing job boards and social media sourcing tools.
- Experience conducting outreach, hosting community events, and networking with colleges, universities, professional and other organizations to recruit candidates.

Minimum Qualifications
