Description:
Position Overview: Develop and oversee the organization's long-range corporate business development initiatives to ensure optimal growth and profitability. Evaluate viability of outside business partners, alliances, and joint ventures to support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. Works closely with the site facility to improve census statistics for inpatient admissions and outpatient enrollment. Generates new business opportunities and increases revenue with existing clients. Conducts market research and develops marketing strategies to ensure growth. Hires, trains, develops and manages the Business Development Leaders and sets quotas for achievement.
May sell products and/or services to customer then transition account to an account manager or relationship manager for ongoing maintenance and service. Pursues sales leads and visits customer sites within assigned territory defined by geographic area, industry, or product/service segment. In addition to face-to-face meetings, engages with customers over the phone and Internet (e.g., chat, email video conferencing, etc.) to close sales. Executes sales strategy, identifies new opportunities/leads, and generates sales revenue.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Develops and execute strategic growth activities for the organization.
* Develops new business opportunities in national markets.
* Analyze and identify business challenges and opportunities, and solve them using fact-based analysis to make strategic and tactical recommendations.
* Partner with Chief Growth Officer to develop and execute quarterly marketing plans and actions to ensure established targets are achieved.
* Continually monitors census data and works closely with CEO Facility to improve inpatient/outpatient admissions.
* Keep informed about industry changes and developments, anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategies accordingly.
* Maintain monthly statistics and monitor and analyze trends, opportunities, and barriers.
* Develop metrics and quotas for Business Development Leaders and monitor regularly, holding them accountable for goal achievement.
* Utilize data effectively in business development strategies and actions.
* Implement network marketing, business development initiatives, and delivery models.
* Monitor market and competitor activity and provide feedback to Senior Management
* Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
* 10+ years progressive experience in healthcare sales and marketing required.
* Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Persuasive presentation skills.
* Ability to analyze business development opportunities and work in a self-directed environment.
* Demonstrated Sales Management and team development skills.
* Strong proposal development and negotiation skills.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
