Position Summary
The Business Development Director is responsible to drive business growth through prospecting and nurturing opportunities for sterile fill/finish services. He/She will meet with clients, and create/review sales proposals to achieve the overall yearly sales goal. Execute short- and long-term sales strategies and recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.

Experience
A minimum of six (6) years pharma industry related experience in sales capacity
Education
Bachelor's degree in a science or technical field is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities
Builds Market Position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships
- Locate or propose potential sales by contacting potential leads; discovering and exploring opportunities
Build Relationships and Networks
- Maintain and expand existing personal industry contacts establishing relationships with key individuals and within the appropriate customers that control or influence sourcing decisions relative to the Company's product and opportunities
- Communicate at mid-level positions within customer base
Promote the Company Strategically
- Maintain long term commitments with customers
Master New Solutions and Capabilities
- Understand quickly where and how new solutions and products can be positioned
- Research and learn new emerging technology and trends in aseptic processing
Build Departmental Strength
- Assist in development of team sales action plans, forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues
- Assist in leading, training & mentoring sales group members
Build Personal Credibility
- Operate with high professional standards, adhering to the Company's principles for support and consistently doing the right thing for customers
- Learn and grow in understanding of Sharp Sterile Manufacturing's aseptic capabilities
- Create price proposals and obtain customer acceptance (i.e., purchase order, signed quote, etc.)
- Host client site visits at the facility in Lee, MA
- Participate in meeting daily metrics for calls, visits, quoting, purchase order collection as well as attending a weekly progress meeting
- Other duties as assigned
