Position Summary
The Senior Land Negotiator is responsible for working within a Land group and multi-disciplinary team in support of development and partner relationship management in East Texas and North Louisiana.

Requirements
Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years in-house Land experience
Bachelors degree required, preferably in Business, Energy, or related field
East Texas & North Louisiana experience, as well as familiarity with cross-unit development strongly preferred
Experience successfully negotiating and drafting agreements, assignments, etc.
Aptitude to work independently and as part of a team with little to no oversight
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Experience with ArcGIS, Enverus, Quorum QLS and other products a definite plus
The Senior Land Negotiator is responsible for working within a Land group and multi-disciplinary team in support of development and partner relationship management in East Texas and North Louisiana.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage internal and external relationships in support of active drilling programs and field-wide development in assigned areas.
- Identify and develop advantageous commercial arrangements for assigned area lands and execute on approved projects.
- Manage external title firms to procure new or supplemental abstracts and title opinions.
- Review title information and title opinions in support of subsurface land clearance for an active drilling program.
- Prepare and negotiate participation agreements, trades, letter agreements, farmout agreements, and similar commercial agreements in support of drill clearance.
- Prepare and negotiation JOAs, assignments, releases, amendments, pooling declarations, and other similar operational agreements in support of drill clearance.
- Prepare quarterly internal updates related to contractual compliance and performance, as well as drill inventory status in assigned development areas.
- Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with key partners and vendors to review development plans and results.
- Contribute to an annual budget process by providing guidance on contractual obligations and timing of same.
- Periodically assist with review and evaluation of in-basin acquisition, joint development, or trade opportunities.
