What you will be doing:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the Right of Way (ROW) Engineering staff and collaborate with various sections, including Preliminary Design, Design, Construction, and Maintenance, to provide essential surveying, mapping, and land title services for the Northern Region. You'll manage multiple ROW projects and ensure that regional surveying standards are met while also administering consultant contracts.
Your responsibilities will include scheduling engaging surveying activities, aligning staff levels with the workload, conducting field inspections, and analyzing survey requirements. You'll lead a dynamic team, prepare cost estimates, ensure compliance with laws, and maintain open communication with survey crews as you guide the preparation of crucial survey documentation.
Additionally, you'll have the chance to research records, respond to inquiries, develop mapping standards, evaluate and support your staff, facilitate training, and ensure that historical records and databases are up to date.
