The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Statewide Design and Engineering Services is looking for a Right-of-Way (ROW) Agent 5 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
Depending on the selected applicant, this position can be filled in Juneau, Fairbanks, or Anchorage.
Salary information is listed below:

Anchorage: $3432.00 Biweekly

Fairbanks: $3535.20 Biweekly

Juneau: $3604.00 Biweekly
What you will be doing:

In this role, you will help shape transportation and public property management policies while supporting the Statewide Real Estate/Right-of-Way Chief. You will provide guidance on transportation and real estate laws and regulations, ensuring the department follows state and federal requirements to ensure efficient delivery of vital transportation projects. Your work will involve researching, preparing reports, and presenting information to department leaders, legal teams, and external partners. You will also represent the department in industry groups and public meetings.

Your responsibilities include drafting policies, reviewing compliance, updating manuals and regulations, and implementing Corrective Action Plans. You will independently oversee the Statewide Appraisal Review function through professional contracts and supervising staff. Part of your role will involve negotiating solutions to improve processes and ensure the program runs smoothly. Strong, collaborative communication and problem-solving skills are important for success.
You will also take part in industry groups to stay updated on transportation policies, eminent domain case law, and property management trends. Additionally, you will organize training opportunities for staff and contractors to keep right-of-way practices up to date.
