POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time, managerial position, and days of work and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Note: This position is in the "NL" category of employment (non-fixed work week) and individuals in this role have no claim or entitlement to time off or cash compensation for hours worked beyond their normal schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. It is the policy of the College to grant hour for hour compensatory time off, with advance approval, only when employees are required to work on a state holiday. Time earned must be used within one fiscal year from the time it is earned.

Examples of Duties
DUTIES:
- Budget Management: Oversight of development and review of Teaching Learning Core budget, including Provost's Office. Collaborate with department heads and administrators to develop, monitor, and manage the institutional budget. Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and allocation of resources in alignment with the institution's strategic goals and priorities. Provide regular financial reports and analysis to the Provost and senior leadership.
- Academic Planning and Budgeting: Contribute to strategic academic planning and assist in budgetary decision-making. Coordinate with academic units to align resource allocation with institutional goals and priorities. With Deans, identify opportunities for program growth, particularly with graduate and professional programs
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct financial and market analyses and modeling to support strategic decision-making. Evaluate financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve fiscal efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Administrative Oversight: Ensure operations and alignment of TLC are within institutional policies and procedures, including Academic program proposal advancement - from Provost to BOT to State (OSHE, NJPC, AIC). Create/generate meeting materials for BOT and committee meetings.
- Graduate Education: Work with Provost, Deans and Faculty on the strategic development, implementation and assessment of graduate and professional programs.
- Collaborate with Registrar's Office on Academic Catalog review.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Provost and other senior leaders in developing and implementing the institution's strategic plan. Assist in setting goals, objectives, and performance indicators. Monitor progress and provide support for strategic initiatives, such as degree completion program..
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and review of administrative policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. Communicate policy changes to stakeholders and provide guidance on their implementation. (Assist Vice Provost in managing Provost's Council....)
- Manage Deans Council, including coordinating agendas, taking and reporting meeting minutes, following up with deans on initiatives and policies.
- Institutional Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations for the Provost and other stakeholders, including board meetings, accreditation reports, and other institutional assessments. Compile and analyze data to support decision-making and inform strategic planning.
- Resource Allocation: Assist in resource allocation decisions, considering budget constraints, institutional priorities, and departmental needs. Collaborate with department heads to ensure equitable distribution of resources.
- Project Management: Manage special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Provost. Coordinate cross-departmental teams and oversee project timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
- Participates in shared governance and the facilitation of active and collegial communication across the College
- Represents the College and the transformative power of a Ramapo College education to diverse audiences
- Participates in and encourages a service-oriented approach to promote active engagement in College-wide events such as Commencement, Opening Convocation, and others.
- Supervises staff and directs the work operations, develops performance standards, makes performance evaluations, provides guidance and counsel to staff and approves personnel actions in accordance with college policies and state regulations.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- A master's degree in business administration, finance, higher education administration, or a related field is typically required. A combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
- Financial and Administrative Experience: Significant experience in financial management, budgeting, and administrative operations, preferably in a higher education setting. Familiarity with financial systems, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Strategic Planning Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to contribute to institutional planning efforts. Ability to align financial and administrative functions with the institution's strategic goals.
- Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Proficiency in budget development, financial analysis, and forecasting. Understanding of financial systems and tools. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Experience in working with diverse populations to promote inclusive excellence to meet the goals of the position.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and management abilities, including the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial and administrative information.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex financial and operational data. Experience in preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Higher Education: Familiarity with the higher education landscape, including an understanding of academic programs, administrative functions, and institutional policies.
