Job Summary:

The Information Technology Manager will manage the company's information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service, to include assisting department leads in Information Technology (IT) management and troubleshooting help desk tickets.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with members of the executive team to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals.
  • Establishes long-term IS needs and plans and develops strategies for developing additional systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs.
  • Provide IT support for the various departments and staff members.
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Report regularly to supervisors on the status of staff needs and projects.
  • Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
  • Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
  • Working with staff members during software/hardware implementations and/or upgrades.
  • Working with Department Leads to customize solutions for their tech needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Be available for emergencies 24/7.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Analytical skills when creating computer code.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company's goals.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent required; masters degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience as a Network Systems Administrator.
  • Experience with setup and management of VPN configurations.
  • Five (5) years in help desk support or similar role.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Networking certification, Networking Plus, Microsoft Certified.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
