Job Title: Ultrasonographer OB
Job Specialty: Gynecology, 1st Trimester Scanning
Job Duration: 14 months
Shift: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3 pm with rotating weekends. Weekend hours 6:30 am to 12 pm (flexible hours depending on patient volumes)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Experience: Preferably with follicular experience and EPIC experience
License: ARDMS registered
Certifications: RDMS - Cert-Reg Diag. Medical Sono American Registry of Diagnostic Medical - RDMS
Must-Have: Successful completion of a formal 2-year training in a school of Ultrasound by the Joint Review Committee for the Radiological Sciences (JRCERT) of the American Medical Association
Job Description:
- Confirm the appropriateness of ordered exams based on the diagnosis and contact appropriate medical staff for additional information when necessary.
- Communicate with the Radiologist to obtain appropriate exam protocols and make informed decisions regarding protocols.
- Select appropriate equipment and patient positions to ensure optimal diagnostic images.
- Transmit cases as needed to the Archive System and assist the Radiologist with any requested procedures.
- Perform quality control checks for all exams scanned by following established protocol guidelines.
- Document pertinent patient history, sedation used, and the number of films used in the radiology information system while ensuring departmental compliance.
- Maintain an accurate logbook of all patients scanned daily.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and positive guest relations.
- Maintain confidentiality and operate basic office equipment.
- Demonstrate bilingual skills if possible.
