About this Role
You will be supporting CNO's Emerging Open Source Activities (EOSA) branch in
their mission to integrate publicly available information (PAI) and open source technologies into CNO. The customer is interested in identifying new opportunities to support the broader organization, so you should be excited to meet new people, understand their mission, and improve their workflows. The ideal candidate will have a good foundation in Python and Linux development and be capable of working in both classified and unclassified environments to understand and achieve mission outcomes. Furthermore, the candidate will demonstrate continuous creativity and adaptability in the face of evolving project requirements.

About this Role
You will be supporting CNO's Emerging Open Source Activities (EOSA) branch in
their mission to integrate publicly available information (PAI) and open source technologies into CNO. The customer is interested in identifying new opportunities to support the broader organization, so you should be excited to meet new people, understand their mission, and improve their workflows. The ideal candidate will have a good foundation in Python and Linux development and be capable of working in both classified and unclassified environments to understand and achieve mission outcomes. Furthermore, the candidate will demonstrate continuous creativity and adaptability in the face of evolving project requirements.
- Perform initial research and write software to enable/implement new PAI (publicly available information) collection workflows, or improve existing workflows.
- Develop software and incorporate tools to parse, transform, enrich, and validate JSON data, and load into appropriate data models.
- Work with analyst & operator customers across CNO & the Agency to identify new PAI & open-source data collection opportunities, and ensure that data meets users' needs.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Candidates without a current clearance will not be considered.
- Experience with Python.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data structures, data processing, data transformation, and validation (i.e., JSON Schema).
- Experience with at least one NoSQL database (e.g., ElasticSearch/Kibana, graph databases, Mongo, Redis, etc.)
- Experience with software development processes including using Git for version control, unit tests, and some familiarity with CI/CD processes.
- Experience working in a Linux development environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and three (3) years' experience OR Four (4) additional years in lieu of a degree

Preferred Skills and Experience
- AWS Developer Associate certification.
- Experience with web scraping and automated data collection (i.e., parsing HTML, JavaScript, etc., and understanding REST).
- Experience with computer and network security and penetration testing is a big plus.
- CNO or EOSA experience (ROCKSTAR, FIREHAWK, etc.).
- Corporate data warehouse and dataflow experience (ie, Apache Nifi, corporate data repositories and data formats).
- Experience with containers such as Docker or Podman, and/or container orchestration, such as Docker Swarm or Kubernetes.
- Experience operating in AWS.
