Head of Compliance Investigations

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Compliance Investigations to lead a global team handling internal investigations related to breaches of the Code of Conduct, internal policies, and misconduct allegations. This role focuses on ensuring efficient, timely, and thorough case handling across regions while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead end-to-end internal investigations, including witness interviews, case file management, and reporting of findings.
  • Collaborate with HR, legal counsel, Internal Audit, and senior management to address investigation outcomes and support cultural improvements.
  • Drive the disciplinary process and communicate case findings to senior leadership.
  • Oversee the whistleblowing hotline, monitor regulatory updates, and ensure proper implementation of changes.
  • Manage anti-retaliation monitoring and investigations.
  • Promote a "Speak Up" culture and analyse investigation trends to identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Support compliance assurance activities, targeted risk reviews, reporting, and special projects.
  • Ensure effective, data-driven communication with compliance teams and legal entity boards.
Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years leading internal investigations, particularly in compliance and HR risk areas, preferably in financial services.
  • University degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive investigations with confidentiality and objectivity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Legal background, audit/testing experience, or risk management knowledge.
  • Experience with project management or utilising data/technology to optimise workflows. Ideal Candidate Traits:
