Description:

Highly skilled and experienced Real Estate & Construction Manager to oversee all real estate and construction projects within our healthcare organization. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and cost-effective development, renovation, and maintenance of our facilities.

The duties shall include, but not be limited to:

Real Estate Strategy:
  • Develop and implement a long-term real estate strategy aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Identify and evaluate potential real estate opportunities, including acquisitions, dispositions, and lease negotiations.
  • Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions, including property assessments and legal/lease reviews.
  • Manage real estate portfolio, including lease administration issues and Landlord relations.

Construction Project Management:
  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, from planning and design to construction and occupancy.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Select and manage contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and healthcare facility standards.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays.

Facility Maintenance and Operations:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive facility and equipment maintenance plan including preventative maintenance programs.
  • Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of healthcare facilities.
  • Manage capital improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets for real estate and construction projects.
  • Monitor and control costs to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and forecasts.

Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with real estate and construction projects.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements.

Competencies:
  • Proven record of accomplishment of successful project management and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare facility design and construction standards.
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and financial analysis tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.

Work Environment

This job operates in a remote work environment, with travel required 60-80% of the time within Connecticut or Westchester County, NY areas.
