Organization Summary:

The OCS Account Manager serves as a retain and grow leader of relationships with current employers, and news employers as acquired by the Account Executive team. Annually, the AM is responsible for creating and executing an Account Plan for each hiring entity as assigned and in line with an annual territory plan. The primary interaction with employers involves strategic engagement relevant to employer recruitment activities that include but not limited to: developing and creating recruiting strategies for employers recruiting at the Smith School of Business via advertising job opportunities and making logistical arrangements related to campus recruiting visits via HireSmith, employer events via virtual or in person that may consist of scheduling information sessions, on campus interviews, employer-of-the-day requests and other networking events. Student interaction primarily involves updating HireSmith academic information, approving undergraduate, graduate and alumni resumes, scheduling and editing time availability for interviews, student registration for information sessions, workshops and other employer recruiting events. The Account Manager will also work as a liaison to the greater OCS to assist with employer engagement opportunities to assist in overseeing, managing and coordinator larger employer events. The Account Manager will oversee the coordination with internal and external stakeholders to oversee employer engagement opportunities in OCS, including but not limited to career fairs (virtual and in person), networking events, venue and catering contracts, and budget oversight as well as manage and oversee employer registration approvals, career fair payment processing as well as forward payments to accounts payable and keep accurate records and establish standardized event procedures and train student or event staff into properly executing them.
The primary goal is to retain 85% of current accounts and expand those relationships to grow the number of job postings in each account annually.
Other duties as assigned, working 4 days in the office for core hours of 8:30am-5pm, with flex hours to work evenings and weekends as needed for events with employers and students.

Physical Demands:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for typing writing, and operating office equipment. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; writing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Preferences:
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in customer account management.
Event management, human resources and higher education employer relations a plus.
Strong customer service orientation. Willingness to go above and beyond to meet and exceed internal and external stakeholders' needs and to achieve customer delight. Passion for serving customers with proactive solutions that grow relationships and strengthen partnerships. Anticipates customer requirements, expectations, and needs. Has a pleasant, approachable style and is willing to build long-term employer relationships that work. Strong knowledge of the student career experience and the employment marketplace (preferred).
Excellent ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders, including but not limited to students, faculty, staff, Smith School leadership, alumni, employer representatives, and community leaders. Strong written communication, verbal communication, and attentive and active listening skills; demonstrated ability and experience in delivering direct and constructive feedback to improve professionally.
Strong interpersonal skills and social acumen. Displays empathy and is perceptive and attuned to the mood in the work environment and student needs.
Ability to work with and relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Strong teamwork orientation.
Effectively leverages constructive conflict to drive team effectiveness.
Fosters collaboration and cultivates and leverages networks with people across a wide variety of functions within and outside the Smith School.
Strong ability to collaborate with immediate peers and colleagues to generate and identify sound solutions that promote OCS' overall effectiveness.
Ability and willingness to work late nights and weekends as needed.
Ability to travel on occasion.
Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Five (5) years of professional program management experience.

Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of business acumen to understand key business drivers, organizational communications, and data.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
Ability to develop and administer new policies and procedures.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
