Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage large-scale programs, mid and small-sized projects, and Product Teams focused on Value Streams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) and ensure the Scrum framework is followed by the team.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, application users, program leaders, and external parties to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Act as a leader to protect the team from external distractions, remove impediments, and ensure progress towards goals.
- Assist the Product Owner in maintaining a clear and prioritized product backlog, ensuring the team understands product vision, goals, risks, and priorities.
- Help the team focus on delivering increments that meet the Definition of Done, tracking key performance metrics and Agile maturity.
- Manage project goals, scope, costs, schedule, risks, and performance, while creating timelines, distributing responsibilities, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and document meetings, providing regular status reports and maintaining clear communication with management and stakeholders.
- Manage project/program financials, including budget, expenses, cost forecasts, and ensure invoices align with the budget.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience as a Scrum Master on Agile teams, managing mid to large-scale software development projects/programs.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Positive attitude, analytical skills, and a willingness to step in where needed.
- Proficient in DevOps or DevSecOps, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Experience with Lean methodologies is beneficial.
Required Education / Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relative experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional Scrum Master (CSP-SM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- FLMI or another industry-related accreditation is an asset.
