Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • Negotiate national agreements for Surgery, ensuring best pricing and contract terms.
  • Focus on sourcing initiatives with low to medium complexity, risk, and sensitivity.
  • Manage a portfolio with an annual spend of $100m-$200m.
  • May handle other categories for development and workload allocation.
  • Conduct market research, strategy development, RFI/RFP/Bid preparation, contract negotiations, and launch contracts.
  • Present contract strategies and award recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Validate strategies and present final awards to customer-led Advisory Boards.
  • In-depth knowledge of product features, comparisons, operational impact, future pipeline, FDA filings, cost drivers, raw materials, new market entrants, and reimbursement dynamics.
  • Negotiate thorough contract terms with minimal oversight.
  • Key terms include pricing, termination rights, indemnification, competitive pricing, failure to supply remedies, liabilities, confidentiality, supplier performance, information security, and intellectual property rights.
  • Oversee supplier relationships and participate in business reviews.
  • Build stable working relationships with customers through contract communications and board presentations.
  • Facilitate effective communications with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and advisory boards.
  • Communicate bid process, negotiation status, agreement terms, financial proposals, and other matters.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, Finance)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience: strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, and supply chain operations is required.
  • Healthcare knowledge is preferred.
