Subject Matter Expert - Level II
Develops requirements from a project's inception to its conclusion for a particular IT subject matter area (i.e., simple to complex systems). Assists other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; life-cycle management; software development methodologies; modeling and simulation; disaster recovery; and requirements management.
Education & Experience Levels Level Knowledge/Skill Description Minimum Education and/or Minimum Experience II Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Has the ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. Associate's Degree or higher and/or 5-15 years

Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Develops/maintains project schedules.
- Maintaining SAN configuration for DC1 and DC2.
- Maintain SAN documentation for both Datacenters including cabling, routes, zoning and configuration.
- Monitors and reports on SAN performance and provides input for SAN improvement.
- Facilitates as a SAN SME for all OBIM efforts.
- Performs Level 1, 2 and 3 Support of all SAN and SAN switches in DC2.
- Closely interacts with the Development Team, Test Teams and Subject Matter Experts to stay up-to-date on issues and progress.
- Helps resolve any issues, impediments team might have to meet the schedules.
- Required: BS + 5 yrs. related experience (or equivalent ed/exp).
- Desired: BS in Information Technology/Systems + 10 years' experience as a SAN Engineer Experience as a SAN Engineer.
- Ability to identify project risks, perform high level research by talking to the team and SMEs, and come up with a mitigation plan.
- Good Communication skills.
- Good written skills including but not limiting to drafting agendas and progress reports.
- Good organizational skills.
- Proficiency with MS Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Ability to run the project meetings and motivate the team to complete tasks on schedule.
