Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises the QA/QC functions/activities of a project or its parts, including QA/QC inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records. Ensures the availability of quality record documents.
• Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan on site.
• Allocates QA/QC personnel to the various areas of site activity.
• Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collect and file the required Quality Records.
• Develop Site Specific Quality plans
• Evaluates the qualifications of inspection personnel.
• Ensures the correct application of QA/QC phase.
• Develops a detailed list of "Stand Out" items that the SPEC's reference.
• Arranges in coordination with site personnel procedures, manuals and reports.
• Jobsite trips to review Mock Ups and aid the project team to implement into a QA format.
• Attend Pre-Install Conference Meetings
• Be sure that all sites activities are carried out according to reference documentation.
• Cooperates in Event Report Management and for all the implementation of relative corrective actions. Systematically records the nonconformity or event reports issued and identifies appropriate corrective actions.
• Create a Mock Up list for each project as well as a Pre-Installation Conference List (both SPEC required and Structure Tone required.
• Distributes Quality Plan on Site.
• Informs the Project Manager of any deviation regarding the contract.
• Checks the completeness and conformity to specified applicable requirements, standards and/or directives.
• Ensures that the tests, controls and inspections are carried out and that personnel have access to all required project documentation.
• Makes site personnel aware of and train them on quality topics.

• Ensures, whenever necessary, the update of site quality control plans / control procedures.

Background and Experience Required:

Undergraduate degree in construction management or related field plus some internship work in an architectural, construction or engineering related environment is strongly desired. Have field knowledge, design knowledge, and knowledge of how to review specs. Bluebeam experience is a plus and Plan Grid.

PC Skills - Demonstrated experience and competence in office productivity tools such as Word, Excel and MS Project. Demonstrated experience in estimating and other construction project management software such as MS Project, Bluebeam, and Plan grid.

Self Starter - Demonstrated skill at accomplishing own work without the need for close supervision. Acts based on urgency, client needs and the needs of the firm without always having to ask someone for guidance.

Time Management - Demonstrated ability and success in accomplishing tasks by established deadlines; demonstrated discipline in using time management tools and techniques to effectively multitask when needed.
