Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead operations and drive performance excellence at our site. In this role, you will partner with the Site Leadership team to establish and achieve aggressive goals in safety, quality, delivery, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will oversee the development and execution of strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives while fostering a high-performance culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and innovation. A key focus will be building a strong safety culture, maintaining high workplace standards, and driving initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and pride in the workplace.

As Plant Manager, you will also lead efforts to assess and develop the technical and leadership capabilities of the team, implementing robust talent development and leadership programs to ensure sustained success. You will oversee the creation and execution of daily and monthly management systems, focusing on KPI tracking, root cause problem-solving, and breakthrough improvements. Additionally, you will champion a site environment that attracts and retains top talent, enhances employee engagement, and establishes the site as a regional employer of choice. This role is a critical opportunity to shape the future success of our operations and team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Site Leadership team to set and achieve ambitious goals across key areas such as safety, quality, delivery, profitability, and customer satisfaction, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by embedding core values, promoting inclusivity, and driving leadership development programs to create a pipeline of capable and engaged leaders across all levels.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and implement high standards for workplace organization (5S) to build a "Zero Accident" mindset while improving operational efficiency and team pride.
  • Lead the design and execution of daily and monthly management systems focused on KPI tracking, root cause problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives like value stream mapping and Kaizens.
  • Enhance the site's position as an employer of choice by implementing strategies to attract and retain top talent, increase employee engagement, and support professional growth opportunities.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Technology with preference for Graduate Degree in Business

Must-Have Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in industrial manufacturing business.
  • Innovative thinker, but even more importantly, able to help other leaders and teams get "outside the box" and drive "breakthrough thinking".
  • Experience with:
    • Mixed model sequenced assembly lines
    • Fabrication, Welding, Painting
    • Complex planning SIOP / Master Production Schedule to plant daily plans
    • Enterprise Resource Planning systems and connections to financial systems
    • Peer/cross-functional relationship building
    • Using/teaching Lean Toolsets, Root Cause Problem Solving and similar continuous improvement methods to deliver high rates of year over year
