As the IT Business Specialist, you will provide support to IT systems/applications and management information needs for the Division of Care and Treatment Services. Responsibilities include:
Salary Information
Pay is between $40.00 and $46.00 per hour (approximately between $83,200 and $95,600 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current of former employees is based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. The position is classified as an IS Business Automation Specialist and is in pay schedule/range 07/33.

Position Summary
As the IT Business Specialist, you will provide support to IT systems/applications and management information needs for the Division of Care and Treatment Services. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the integrity, accuracy and reliability of the applications and databases that support the division's business operations.
- Writing queries and reports from the division's data systems to answer program and policy questions from management.
- Serving as an IT liaison, as well as first- level desktop support for division computer users.
- Serving as web coordinator and a web author for DCTS.
- Serving as the IT Security Officer for DCTS.
- Maintaining the IT equipment inventory for the division and coordinating the purchasing of new and replacement IT equipment and software.
- Supporting systems and applications including Insight, Indeavor, SharePoint, DHS Connect (Oracle/Cerner system), and other division data systems.

Job Details
- All applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
- To work remotely, employees must have access to both a private workspace and secure high-speed internet.
- Mileage reimbursement to the employee's headquarter location is not provided.
- For positions that allow remote working flexibility, working outside of Wisconsin or in bordering cities will not be allowed except in extremely limited circumstances due to the need to report to an office location in Wisconsin on short notice.

Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
- Experience working with external vendors for managing software solutions.
- Experience developing queries and reports from various computer databases.
- Experience providing technical support or training to others, including communicating technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Backend system experience (e.g., managing changes in the system, adding new workflows, fixing issues, performing upgrades, requesting and loading patches, changing system settings, etc.).
Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
- Experience providing technical support to users of software systems that support healthcare operations such as scheduling and electronic health records.
- Experience with desktop configuration.
- Experience provisioning user accounts and permissions to systems, data, and other information.
