Duties Description Under the direction of the Information Technology Specialist 4, within the Imaging team, the incumbent will hold the role as a lead java developer, assigned to the Dedicated TAX Bureau within ITS Dedicated Support and will provide leadership for the Workplace Services team and support for development activities related to the DTF Modernization Program. This role is designated to work closely with application development teams, framework platform teams, and the other imaging leads under. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and designing new java applications that work with the empire framework.
- Developing and maintain java api's that integrate with the various imaging platforms.
- Participate in technical and design review meetings.
- Work with application teams to review business requirements, troubleshooting application code, and provide development guidance for integrating with imaging.
- Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications. Conduct unit testing and debugging of all code changes in the development environment.
- Coordinate the migration of all code changes (programs, procedures, etc.) from development environment into user test environment.
- Perform all supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications Five or more years of experience in application development
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years of Java development experience
Two or more years of experience with the e-MPIRE framework
The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated:
Associate's degree and four years of experience
Associate's degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and three years of experience
Bachelor's degree and three years of experience
Bachelor's degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and two years of experience
Master's degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
Doctorate in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional 2 years of experience
