Facilities Planner

The Facilities team is seeking an experienced planner to support Tesla's Gigafactory Texas infrastructure. This position will be directly responsible for planning daily maintenance work activity, including identifying the labor requirements, materials, special tools, equipment, and sequence of job steps required to safely, efficiently, and effectively accomplish work tasks.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality, multi-craft job plans with coherent work steps, well-defined scopes, & accurate resource estimations
• Build-out & update preventative maintenance activities for facility assets
• Champion administration of Tesla's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize & deliver finalized work packages
• Support major repairs or line interruptions, scheduled or unscheduled
• Work with suppliers to procure necessary job materials (e.g. tools, parts, equipment, etc.)
• Continually optimize planning deliverables to enhance asset reliability & availability

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• High proficiency with computer software & data entry (e.g. CMMS & Microsoft Office Suite)
• Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment strategy, & safety protocols
• Well-rounded background in mechanical, electrical, & instrumentation assets is preferred
• Proven experience as a maintenance planner, ideally in a facilities or similar industrial setting
• Skilled in reading/interpreting mechanical drawings & electrical schematics
