The facility is fully paperless, equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-rays, and a comprehensive suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment to ensure streamlined and effective care.

  • No Abdominal Surgeries: Enjoy a more predictable caseload without abdominal surgeries.
  • Fear-Free & Feline Friendly: The clinic is committed to a Fear-Free approach and is Feline Friendly, creating a calm environment for both pets and their owners.

  • Provide compassionate and high-quality urgent care, serving both patients and their owners with a relationship-based approach.
  • Collaborate closely with the clinical team and leadership to ensure optimal care and smooth daily operations.
  • Foster and grow relationships within the Chesapeake community, becoming a trusted resource for urgent care needs.
  • Support the development of clinic support staff through the internal LevelUp training program.
  • Manage a dynamic caseload, including various urgent care treatments, surgeries, and appointments during clinic hours.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program).
  • Active veterinary license in good standing in the state of employment (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is a plus, but not required.

Comprehensive Compensation & Benefits:
  • Sign-On Bonus potential.
  • Paid Continuing Education (CE) Days and Allowance to enhance skills.
  • Paid State Licensing Fees, AVMA and state professional dues.
  • Covered Professional Liability Insurance (PLIT) for peace of mind.
  • Holiday Pay for working during holidays.
  • Pro-Sal Compensation with No Negative Accrual-ensuring fair compensation for your efforts.
  • Substantial discounts on personal veterinary care for multiple pets.
  • Personalized 1:1 Mentorship to support professional growth.
  • Access to an internal collaboration platform for consultations and case discussions.
  • Flexible and competitive compensation package tailored to individual needs.
  • Healthcare packages and 401(k) retirement match for long-term financial security.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), 6 weeks of paid Parental Leave (for both parents!), and an annual Work/Life Balance Day off to recharge.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a veterinarian seeking a fulfilling career in urgent care, with the added bonus of no weekend work and a healthy work-life balance. Join a supportive team, in a cutting-edge clinic, and make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families.
