Description

As the US Market Unit Leader, you will lead the Business Development and Principal Technology Specialist Team in the execution of a US wide growth plan. You will be responsible for addressing new client target acquisition, deepening relationships with existing high growth potential customers, executing a programmatic approach for working the Microsoft channel and help shape our ongoing GTM strategy. You will be instrumental in developing top level sales strategy and providing expert guidance on key deal pursuits. Your role will be responsible for analyzing the needs of business and formulate the hiring and sales enablement plan to ensure the US Market Unit has the sales capacity, talent and capability to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic US wide sales plan to achieve sales targets and business objectives
  • Refine the US team expansion plan including updating job profiles for new sellers, establishing territory targets and determining presales requirements
  • Ensure the current customer portfolio is positioned for incremental growth while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the enterprise sector, focusing on select industries and the Lantern Ideal Customer Profile
  • Partner with the Microsoft Alliance team to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Microsoft to generate leads and opportunities
  • Collaborate with the go-to-market team to shape and implement GTM strategy and marketing programs that drive sales growth
  • Run the sales cadence including weekly Pipeline meeting focused on deal acceleration and New Business Meetings to address new accounts and opportunities
  • Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, including conducting presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management
  • Mentor and coach the sales team members to enhance their skills and performance


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Information Technology; MBA is a plus
  • 10 plus years of experience with a proven track record of success in Microsoft based professional services sales and sales management/leadership
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Data and AI solutions, including Azure, Cognitive Services, and related technologies
  • Experience working with Microsoft and leveraging their resources to drive sales
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Bring a startup mindset with a keen ability to think outside of the box
